After excelling in all areas of his engineering apprenticeship, Rich has developed a thorough practical knowledge of Lean over the last 20 years. He has helped to coach Lean methodologies and transformed operations in both Manufacturing and non-Manufacturing industries.

He started his career as an Engineer at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd, and has helped to implement lean tools and coach important lean leadership behaviours as a senior Lean consultant in world-leading organisations such as Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Land Rover, Velux, Bombardier Transportation, Ford Chicago Stamping, Caterpillar, SR Technics, Iberia, and London Taxis International.

He has extensive knowledge of developing all-encompassing Lean Production Systems. Rich was also instrumental in the processes used to implement Lean into Rolls-Royce’s state of the art aero engine assembly and test operations in Singapore.

He has also applied these principles to Rolls-Royce new facilities globally, ranging from an apprentice learning academy, to external engine test facilities, research establishments, and operational facilities. Rich is a hot air balloon pilot and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from Loughborough University and is a Chartered Engineer with the IMechE.
